Artist Creates Delicate Sculptures Made from Pressed Flowers
Spanish artist Ignacio Canales Aracil uses the art of pressing flowers to craft spectacular sculptures that resemble hollow vessels. Starting with a large, cone-shaped mold, Aracil weaves hand-picked blooms into a flat, floral overlay that can take up to a month to dry. The pieces are sprayed with a light coating of varnish to protect them from moisture.
