Giant Floating Dandelion Made of Over 3,000 Hand-Blown Glass Orbs

Artist Wolf Buttress has created a sculptural installation that looks like a giant dandelion wafting in the breeze. Its center, surrounded by delicate, tiny florets, mimics the flower's wispy shape and feel. Titled Lucent, this larger-than-life orb is suspended above a darkened, reflecting pool that mirrors the brilliant illuminated tips, doubling its stunning presence. Although it has the soft appearance of a dandelion, Buttress produced Lucent with another, much larger, natural body in mind–the universe.

Moving Sculptures Kiss and Cross Paths Every Day to Visually Tell a Tragic Love Story

This 8-meter-tall steel sculpture by Georgian artist Tamara Kvesitadze is not only a stunning example of mechanics and design, but also a depiction of eternal love between nations. The structure symbolizes the story of Ali and Nino, two lovers from different religious backgrounds. Every night at 7pm, the two figures begin changing positions, moving towards one another until they meet in a brief embrace, before passing through and continuing on their path.

Sculptures of Blue Men Submerged in Water Leave Visual Commentary on Climate Change

Argentinian artist Pedro Marzorati recently completed a poetic land-art installation in the center of Montsouris Park in Paris, which comments on the theme of globally rising water levels. The electric blue busts seem to either be rising out of the water or, contrarily, being overwhelmed by the waves. Ultimately, the take away from this enigmatic piece is dependent on your perspective. Entitled Where the Tides Ebb and Flow, this powerful work has successfully managed to arouse public curiosity.

"Moss People" Ceramic Sculptures Bring Nordic Fairy Tales to Life

Sculptor Kim Simonsson molds earthy ceramic pieces that look as though they've stepped out of Nordic fairy tales and into our own world. For his Moss People series, the artist applied this fantastical aesthetic to the intriguing children and forest creatures who served as his muses. What results is a collection composed of five installations that represent several juxtapositions. There's the contrast between the earthy, moss-like nylon and almost-alien figures behind this vibrant coating.
