Incredible Spatial Sculptures Using Colorful Suspended Buttons

Miami-based artist Augusto Esquivel realistically duplicates objects by suspending thousands of sewing buttons on mere strings. Each strand of his incredible sculptural pieces work with their adjacent string of buttons to create colorful replicas of everything, from a basic geometric cube to a stone fountain covered in flowers and spouting water.

An Oil Painting Layered So Thick It Weighs One Ton

In the mid-1950's, artist Jay DeFeo was a key member of the artist community in San Francisco, California. Inspired and influenced by abstract expressionism, she used unconventional materials to produce a variety of brilliant works, including sculptures, drawing, collage, photographs, and paintings. DeFeo is best known for this monumental painting, entitled The Rose, which she started in 1958 and completed over the course of eight years.

Charlie Brown Hilariously Mashed-Up with 90s Rap

Using lyrics from old school '90's rap, artist Mark Drew created this funny mash-up, entitled Deez Nuts. The Australian-born, Tokyo-based artist painted large-scale scenes from classic Peanuts comic strips, originally by Charles M. Schulz, and then complemented each cartoon with lyrics from songs by Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Public Enemy, Notorious B.IG., and Digital Underground, among others.
