Superheroes Reimagined as 16th Century Paintings

What would it look like if Superman was born in the 16th century? What if the Hulk was a Duke? These are the questions photographer Sacha Goldberger asked himself when he created this playful new series Super Flemish. Some of our favorite pop culture characters like Darth Vader and Snow White got the Flemish treatment as photos of them resembled 16th century paintings.

Mesmerizing Translucent Waves from 19th Century Paintings

The late 19th century Armenian-Russian painter Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky created some truly spectacular paintings of seascapes that capture the beautiful, shimmering essence of the tumultuous waters. Spectacular Paintings with Dual Personalilites

If you view them from the center, you will see the overlap of two images, but from one side or the other, they appear to be separate images. His image choices specifically work together to portray a message through their relationship. Noborikawa says that the lenticular paintings โ€œcreate a wonderful abstraction that could never be planned, when viewed from straight on.
