Stunning Wood Furniture Looks Like Its Tied in a Knot

Artisan Kino Guerin makes sturdy wood look as though it's as easy to tie as string. The beautifully-crafted furniture is a family affair – his wife, Elyse, sometimes helps in the fabrication of tables, shelving, and more. Guerin uses a variety of woods like walnut, zebrawood, and Wenge veneers, coupling them with an industrial bent plywood. The smooth curves and impeccable handling means that these pieces make an impression in any room.

Whimsical Floor Lamp Cleverly Designed as a Giant Pencil

London design studio Michael & George add a bit of whimsy to the average floor lamp with their creation called the HB Lamp. The nearly six-foot-tall light takes the shape of an oversized pencil with its illumination coming from the eraser and a power cord extending from the sharpened tip. Adding to the lighthearted nature of this product, they've crafted it so that the black cord creates the illusion of a drawn line.

Adorable "Pet Camper" Is a Miniaturized Trailer for a Small Dog

We have campers for humans, so why not dogs, too? Pet owners that love to pamper their pooches can now provide them with tiny kennels that are designed to look like the smaller version of what we'd take on vacation. Called the Pet Camper, it was created by Judson Beaumont of the Vancouver-based Straight Line Designs.

Of all the things in life that come with instructions, a building usually isn't one of them. The Sharifi-Ha house in Tehran does, though, and it combines beautiful, modern design with innovative space-saving rooms that are controlled by the push of a button. Iranian architects at nextoffice created a series of semi-mobile areas that can be rotated in order to provide extra space and more sunlight.
