Tiger Rug Made of 500,000 Cigarettes

We're all aware of the lavish furnishing of a bearskin rug, but have you ever seen a tiger-print rug made out of 500,000 cigarettes? China's renowned contemporary artist Xu Bing has worked on tobacco-related projects for over ten years. Bing's works of art, inspired by the nicotine-rich leaves, began in 2000 at Duke University.

Beautifully Bent Cherry Tree Project

What a surreal idea! “The Patient Gardener” is the product of a weeklong workshop conducted by Visiondivision. Ten Japanese cherry trees have been planted in a 26 foot diameter ring (8 meters), and will slowly grow into their bent design. The saplings are being pulled toward a tower in the center that will be removed once the trees are strong enough and won't unbend.

Orlando-based designer Jason Dean just sent word about his latest poster that changes from day to night! The 9-color, glow-in-the-dark screen print shows a sunny little town during the day which turns into a seedy city at night.
