LEGO Foundation Donates $143 Million to Organizations That Help Early Childhood Development

Nearly 100 years after their invention, LEGO toys continue to be discovered and enjoyed by kids from around the world. Now, The LEGO Foundation is giving back to children for its 90th anniversary. LEGO CEO Anne-Birgitte Albrectsen wants to address a “global early childhood emergency” brought upon by the pandemic by donating $143 million to organizations that “make a positive impact on the youngest children anywhere in the world.

Instacart Shopper on Routine Delivery Saves Elderly Man’s Life

One Instacart employee went above and beyond during a routine home delivery. Georgia-based shopper Jessica Higgs was hired by a woman to bring groceries to her elderly father who could not shop for himself; and, normally, Higgs would have left the supplies outside the house as instructed, but this time she had a feeling something was amiss and went inside to check. Her quick thinking potentially saved two lives.

The Jamaican Four-Man Bobsled Team Heads to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing

The snow-free country of Jamaica will be going to this year’s Winter Olympics in Beijing. For the first time in over two decades, the Jamaican bobsled team will be making its return to the event and will also send athletes in the four-man, two-man bob, and the women’s monobob—marking the first time in Olympic History that Jamaica has qualified in three bobsled events.
