Street Barber Who Gives Free Haircuts to the Homeless Gets Gifted His Own Barber Shop

After an 11-year career, Philadelphia-based barber Brennon Jones decided to give back to his community. Without premises of his own, Jones set up shop on sidewalks and street corners to offer free haircuts to the homeless. With a “daily mission of giving back and spreading love,” Jones completed as many as 20 haircuts a day, and even traveled to homeless hotspots like Camden, New Jersey.

Bearded Mermen Pose for a “Dudeoir” Calendar to Raise Money for a Good Cause

Bearded men from eastern Canada are making waves with a new mer-creature themed “dudeoir” calendar—the male version of boudoir photoshoots. Organized by the Newfoundland and Labrador Beard & Moustache Club—“an inclusive beard and moustache club open to anyone who appreciates facial hair”—the money raised from calendar sales will go to Spirit Horse NL, a mental health organization that provides therapeutic interactions with horses.

Earlier this year, then 5-year-old Adam Mohammad Amer showed off his amazing airplane trivia to an audience of impressed pilots and cabin crew aboard an Etihad Airways flight from Morocco to Abu Dhabi. He knew more than just the controls; he understood what they did and how to use them, something he learned from watching YouTube videos.

90-Year-Old Grandma in the Czech Republic Passes Time By Artistically Painting Houses

In the small Czech village of Louka, in southern Moravia, one woman has made it her mission to beautify the homes of her neighbors. Agnes Kasparkova is a 90-year-old former agricultural worker who picked up a new hobby in her retirement—painting. Kasparkova uses her spare time to paint traditional Moravian motifs in bright blue-ultramarine across the walls of Louka's buildings.
