Recreating Movie Scenes Across the Globe

Taking a typical tourist photo in front of a monumental attraction is done time and time again, but world traveler and film enthusiast Allen Fuqua has decided to document his travels by recreating scenes from movies. Fuqua's project, known as Movie Mimic, offers a creative way to experience the world. The web photo series reframes specific film scenes with the globe-trotter standing in for big time celebrities like Ryan Gosling, Denzel Washington, and Matt Damon.

Hauntingly Beautiful Long Exposures

Combining their talents in performance art and photography, Aloyse Blair and Janelle Pietrzak teamed up to create their first solo exhibition, a series of large, vivid color photographs entitled Liminal Rites. The two artists have been collaborating for almost two decades, combining their friendship with artistic integrity to produce these stunning results. “Liminal” is an unstable threshold through which transformation occurs, shifting from one state to the next.

Shadows of an Invisible Man

At first, it seems like a normal shadow shot of a man caught in front of direct light. However, after doing a double-take, it is clear that there is no man within the frame to create the projected silhouette.
