Incredible Winners of the 2022 All About Photo Awards

Photojournalist Marcus Yam was named the All About Photo Photographer of the Year 2022 for his look at Afghanistan's air force. Yam, who is a roving Los Angeles Times foreign correspondent, is one of 41 photographers from 21 countries that were awarded for their talent in the All About Photo Awards‘ seventh year. He will not only take home $10,000, but will also have his work featured in a special edition of AAP Magazine.

Photographer Shares How a Community in Kenya Came Together to Help Orphaned Elephants [Interview]

Conservation photographer Ami Vitale is known for her incredible ability to support local communities that are making an impact. This is made clear through her championing of Kenya's Reteti Elephant Sanctuary. As the first community-owned and run elephant sanctuary in Africa, Reteti cares for orphaned elephants. The Samburu community opened the sanctuary in 2016 and Vitale has been with them every step of the way.

Perfectly Timed Photo Captures Full Moon Framed by the Arc de Triomphe

French astrophotographer Thierry Legault is always on the lookout for something special. While he's worked on extraordinary projects in the past, his latest photo proves that a bit of due diligence can pay off big. Taken just after Easter, the image captures the full moon perfectly centered within Paris' iconic Arc de Triomphe. Glowing brilliantly in the sky, the full moon is clearly visible.
