The Beautiful Textured Art of "Sculpting with Paint"

Chef and restauranteur-turned-artist Justin Gaffrey blurs the boundaries between paintings and sculptures with his eye-catching landscapes and floral creations. The Walton County, Florida-based visual artist aptly describes his method of art as “sculpting with paint.” Working primarily with palette knives and a countless assortment of acrylic paints, Gaffrey manages to produce beautifully textured works of art inspired by the natural world around him.

Each multi-dimensional piece in Gaffrey's collection is an original assembly of color and texture with an impressionistic touch. Every element within each frame, from the color palette to the consistency and size of the dollops of paint, works in unison to evoke a sense of depth and liveliness. Gaffrey's technique creates a lifelike and engaging depiction of an environment that invites the viewer to reach out and touch it.
