Philippines-based creative Patrick Cabral is a man of many talents. At age 11, he discovered a love for calligraphy, but as he got older he was drawn to a career in the digital world as a web programmer and animator. Now, he's combining the structure inherent in digital design with the type of flourishes you'd find in calligraphy. His gorgeous work features portraits of animals adorned with exquisite lace motifs stacked in layers of three-dimensional beauty.

Makeup artist Vanessa Davis, known on social media as ‘The Skulltress,' dreams up ambitious and artistic face paint designs. Each elaborate work of makeup art showcases Davis' cosmetic know-how and wild imagination. Davis designs a range of out-of-this-world looks. The self-described “makeup and mixed media face-artist”  is known for her skull-inspired designs that transcend traditional and trendy skeletal face paint. Surreal Bronze Sculptures of Fractured Figures Visualize Emotional Despair

Spanish sculptor Isabel Miramontes creates amazing works of art inspired by the human body. Fascinated by “poses and impressions,” the artist creates fractured bronze figures and surreal sculptures that elegantly evoke a sense of movement and a deeper visualization of the human psyche. Each of Miramontes' fragmented figurative sculptures presents the artist's interest in implied motion. By segmenting the forms into strips and spirals, she is able to experiment with the capabilities of the human body.

19th Century ‘Devil’s Bridge’ Uses Its Reflection to Form a Perfect Circle

At first glance, it looks as though nature has created a perfect circle that frames the gorgeous landscape of Germany's Kromlauer Park. But look a little longer and you'll realize that this stunning sight is the result of a clever optical illusion. An arched bridge called Rakotzbrücke, or devil’s bridge, is responsible for fooling your eye. Rakotzbrücke was commissioned by a knight of  Kromlau and completed in 1860.
