Armin Blasbichler Studio strives to develop innovative projects that combine architecture, design, and visual arts, and this house is no exception! The playful and well-designed home, called der Muslhaufen, is filled with architect Armin Blasbichler's minimalist and modern dcor concepts. Located in South Tyrol, Italy, the outside of the home resembles musls, or log stacks, and was constructed to blend in to the surrounding scenery.

A Drunkard’s Spiraling Thoughts

Contemporary artist Gilles Barbier's sculptural installation titled L'ivrogne, translated as The Drunk, depicts a sullen man, down on his luck. Replicated after the artist himself, the figure has a spiraling whirlwind of thoughts physically emerging from his head. The artist uses his masterfully sculpted clone to give us a glimpse into a drunkard's inner rumination, which appears to be quite hectic.

Splitting Light Into Multiple Colorful Shadows

Olafur Eliasson is a Danish-Icelandic artist who experiments, develops, and installs all kinds of artworks and thought-provoking projects. Much of his art is very public, and viewer interactions are key to a full experience of the work. In Multiple Shadow House, visitors stand in front of a projected light in order to observe split-color shadows of their own figure on the wall. The division of light is a playful reinterpretation of a regular, everyday shadow.
