Coffee Cup Stained Portrait of Jay Chou

Shanghai-based artist Hong Yi, aka Red, has already impressed us with her sunflower seed portrait of artist Ai Weiwei and even went on to gain worldwide attention with her portrait of basketball star Yao Ming, which was painted with a basketball. Now, the creative artist who “likes to paint, but without a paintbrush” is back with a new inventive portrait project of pop star Jay Chou, made with coffee cup stains.

16-Year-Old’s Wildly Fruity Self-Portraits

With just two and a half years of experience, 16-year-old Spanish photographer Cristina Otero captivates us with these zoomed-in self-portraits. Using fruit as her inspiration in this series entitled Tutti Frutti, Otero disrupts the conventional notions of feminine beauty and interacts with different fruits in a seductive performance for the camera. She draws the viewer in with her wide, innocent eyes while the bold, striking colors of her make-up complement each fruit.

In light of this, a team of architects at Rosan Bosch created an unconventional space where the average classroom is eliminated.
