Cambodian Spirits Projected on Trees Awaken the Night

Cambodian Trees is a creative light projection project by French artist Clment Briend that overlays trees with sculptural images of spirits and deities that are highly regarded in Cambodian culture. It's a beautiful surprise when the projected spirits awaken and reveal themselves at night as though they are made of the towering trees themselves. The photographic light installations echo the spirituality of the few sprouts of nature in the predominantly urban landscapes.

Adorable Illustrations of Random Words

As a way to strengthen his brain muscles, concept artist and illustrator Charles Santoso decided he would a start a project called Daily Random Word Doodles. Every day, he asks his Twitter followers to give him a word and then he picks the very first one submitted. He then spends anywhere from half an hour to an hour and a half creating a digital interpretation of that word.

Incredibly Realistic & Shocking Cardboard Scenes

Box is a project by Belgium photographers Maxime Delvaux and Kevin Laloux, in which they utilized cardboard and miniature dollhouse furniture to create these dramatic scenes. The elaborate portraits portray the imperfections of life through very surreal and cinematic moments. Each character seems incredibly downtrodden and unresponsive to the life around them.

Beautiful Abstract Toilet Paper Installations

We've seen our share of amazing paper artists and even come across one that works with the discarded cardboard tubes of used toilet paper rolls, but now we're mesmerized by these beautiful installations by artist Sakir Gkebag that use rolls of toilet paper in their entirety. The series of sculptural works titled Trans-Layers incorporate hundreds of rolls of white toilet paper, configuring them into abstract designs against an ivory backdrop.
