Unlocking Original Illustrations from Charlotte’s Web (12 total)

Though most of us have read the classic children's book Charlotte's Web, none of us have seen the original illustrations…until now. The book's legendary illustrator Garth Williams kept most of his book illustrations for his own, personal collection. Even after his death, the family carefully preserved these works by keeping them in a bank vault. Now the Williams estate is making the art available to collectors for the first time.

Growing Grass Sculptures (7 pics)

Exhibiting at the Invisible Dog Gallery in Brooklyn, New York, these growing grass sculptures change every time you see them. Made of soil and wheat seeds with a structure from recycled metal, they're the creative work of mixed media artist Mathilde Roussel-Giraudy. “The natural world, ingested as food becomes a component of human being,” Roussel-Giraudy says.
