Magnificently Surreal Horse Paintings

Macedonia-based artist Vasko Takovski finds inspiration from horses to produce surreal fantasies. Using an array of vivid colors and varying landscapes, the painter transforms the ordinary creature into a robust yet agile stallion. Most fascinating about Takovski's creations are the constructs and forms of the equestrian subjects. In one of his elaborate paintings, the horse is militantly made of industrial materials, appearing like a giant Trojan horse.

The Human Flamingo

Exploding Fruits and Vegetables

Apple While we got a kick out of photographer Alan Sailer's exploding Christmas ornaments, we can't help but stand back in shock and awe as he demolishes our favorite fruits and vegetables. Yes, even the sweet potato he bought at a local farmer's market has no chance against Sailer who turns the brown vegetable into a puree, all without the help of a blender!
