Transparent Glass Tea House Creating Rainbow Light is Unveiled in Kyoto, Japan

While the idea to create this transparent Japanese tea house originated in 2002, and while the design was realized in 2011, it's only now, nearly five years from the presentation of the design that KOU-AN Glass Tea House has finally been unveiled. KOU-AN has been installed in the mountainside of Kyoto, Japan, at Seiryuden (Blue Dragon Hall), which is the home of the Shorenin Temple.

Bodypainters Beautifully Blend Human Bodies into Nature

Using absolutely no Photoshop, bodypainters Leonie Gen and Joerg Duesterwald worked with photographers Laila Pregizer and Uwe Schmida in seamlessly integrating the human body into natural landscapes. Called Metamorphosis, the project blends naked models into everything from rock formations to curly trees, making them a beautiful extension of their environment. The body poses coupled with the artistic bodypainting magically make the models disappear into the background.

Mother’s Empowering Photos of Her Daughters Show "Strong is the New Pretty"

Last year, we fell in love with Kate T. Parker's beautiful photos of her two daughters Ella and Alice because they reminded us of Norman Rockwell's paintings of the idyllic American life. What we didn't know back then was that those photos were part of an ongoing quest to capture girls in a different light, where negative stereotypes were shattered and where girls were encouraged to feel good about themselves.
