I Love Modern Architecture – Dorobanti Tower: Bucharest, Romania

Designed by star-architect Zaha Hadid, Dorobanti Tower was designed to establish an iconic presence in the heart of Bucharest. The new tower is a unique mix of a distinctive form, ingenious structure, and spatial qualities of sky-high living. If approved, it will be the tallest building (656 ft) in the city and will provide a 5-star hotel along with apartments.

NOX | Lars Spuybroek has designed a family of towers called The Three Graces in Dubai which emulates that very dynamic. The family of towers, which are currently in progress, will be interconnected by a footbridge that will reduce footprints on the piers.

Optical Illusions – 12 Tilt-Shift Miniature Faking Photos

Talk about trippy. These are not miniature models, they are actual life size objects. Tilt-Shift miniature faking is a creative technique whereby a photograph of a life-size location or object is manipulated to give an optical illusion of a photograph of a miniature scale model. Most faked tilt-shift photographs are taken from a high angle to further simulate the effect of looking down on a miniature.
