Maddie the Coonhound Standing On Things (Part 2)

Earlier this year, we instantly fell in love with Maddie the coonhound as she modeled for her owner, photographer Theron Humphrey, in strange and unusual places. The project, Maddie on Things, features the very photogenic dog standing underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, precariously balanced between the doors of a refrigerator, topping off a large stack of colorful suitcases, and much, much more.

Animals’ Eyes Up Close

Suren Manvelyan, is a bit of a jack of all trades. He has a PhD in Theoretical Physics specializing in Quantum Chaos but has recently turned his attention to photographing the amazing detailed landscapes of eyes. The ones featured here are all from animals and includes a husky dog, snail, Siamese cat, and even a crocodile as well as a few other creatures.

Having completed postgraduate studies at St. Martins School of Art London, Flach shoots stylized animal portraits that look more like fine art than framed shots of your puppy. Commercially trained as a professional photographer for over 25 years, Flach's conceptual style has been shaped by his background not just in photography but in, curiously, painted sculptures.
