Zaha Hadid Architects Releases Amazing Video Tour of Saudi Arabian Research Center

Unless you happened to visit the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Centre (KAPSARC) when it opened to the public for Saudi Design Week, not many have been able to enjoy the Zaha Hadid Architects masterpiece up close. But now, a gorgeous video by German photographer Hans Georg Esch showcases the research center in all its glory. France Is Building an “Alzheimer’s Village” for Patients to Live in Freely

In southwestern France, a revolutionary project is underway to build a facility that allows Alzheimer's patients to live comfortably. The Village Landais Alzheimer in Dax will be a space where those with Alzheimer's will live freely, without medication, in an enclosed enclave designed to mirror the freedom they enjoyed while maintaining safety. The project was inspired by a similar site in the Netherlands, which spurred then-local MP Henri Emmanuelli to take up the cause.

Rendered in ink, each piece conveys Nakajima's knack for realistically reproducing an array of architectural details. Nakajima's awe-inspiring works of art showcase a range of destinations across the globe. She appears to have a preference for churches, from the Gothic cathedrals of France and Italy to Spain's celebrated Sagrada Família.
