Artist Reimagines Iconic Disney Princesses With Realistic Facial Proportions
Everyone is familiar with Disney's trademark art style. Their beloved animated characters often have cute, diminutive features with large, expressive eyes. These proportions make them appear more cartoon-like than realistic, which gave one artist an idea for a twist on Disney convention. In her ongoing project, California-based illustrator Holly Fae reimagines famous Disney princesses and other characters with more lifelike proportions. Fae started the series by transforming the starlet sisters of Frozen, Elsa and Anna.
