Created by Malgorzata Chodakowska, each piece balances beautiful lines with an energetic tension that speaks to the artist’s craftsmanship. Body Artist Paints Surreal Optical Illusions Down Her Own Arms

21-year-old face painter and aspiring body artist Lisha Simpson uses her skin as a mutable canvas to make her fairytale-like tableaux. In some designs, she creates carefully shaded and proportioned illustrations that appear to pop off the palm of her hand as if she’s holding true 3D objects, from miniature books to Polaroids to paper cranes. Even more intriguing, however, are the optical illusions she applies down her forearms.

Majestic Lone Wolf Is Actually Three People Skillfully Covered in Body Paint

Alluring Illusions of Technicolor Portals Are Actually 2D Wall Paintings

We already know German artist 1010 for his vivid murals, which appear like multilayered, technicolor portals into parallel dimensions. Now, he has opened a new show at Milan's 10 A.M. ART gallery, with an exhibition that includes not only a mural across the building's entire exterior in his hallmark style, but also a collection of paintings displayed inside. Though smaller in scale than his street art, these new works might be even more remarkable.
