Endless Reflections Captured Inside of a Mirrored Box

At first glance, one might assume that the amazing creations seen here are the result of digital manipulations. However, in reality, each image is a photograph created inside of a square cube covered with mirrors on all six sides. Ron Brinkmann developed this MirrorBox with mirrored tiles and some duct tape.

Clever Series Illustrates Words that are Lost in Translation

Yiddish You've probably experienced something that's been “lost in translation,” meaning that there's no adequate equivalent for a foreign term. Don't feel bad – sometimes it's hard to capture the essence of a word in another language. This is the concept of New Zealand-based designer Anjana Iyer's series entitled Found in Translation. Through these images, she explains the idea behind words in German, Russian, and more that don't directly translate into English.

Contemporary Origami Exhibition is Coming to New York

Come see some of the biggest and brightest names in origami show off their wildest creations at a free event at the Cooper Union in New York City from June 19 to July 4. Organized by a Cooper Union student named Uyen Nguyen, you'll see amazing piece after piece of origami created by 80 contemporary artists from 16 different countries. Over 120 works will be on display.
