Soothing Audiovisual Installation of Waterfalls

Berlin-based Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa creates a unique audiovisual experience of standing in a waterfall indoors with his installation titled Octfalls. By placing eight suspended panels, each featuring an HD video of water refreshingly cascading down a cliff, and accompanying them with the relaxing sounds of water streaming across rocks, Kurokawa simulates an immersive experience that is “one of a thousand ways to defeat entropy.

Paintings of Young Children Bonding with Playful Animals

During her childhood, California-based artist Amberlee Rosolowich often visited her mother–a zookeeper and aquarium show diver–at work. Having grown up surrounded by animals, she uses this past as inspiration for her playful paintings which blend strong creatures interacting with young children. Rosolowich says, “I became fascinated early on with animal behavior, and carried pockets full of doodles around, as I imagined these animals as my chit chat friends.

Tiny Human Sculptures with Immensly Exaggerated Features

Born in Argentina, visual artist Gerardo Feldstein builds sculptures featuring wacky human figures with disproportionately large hands or feet. Made out of wire and wood, the pieces portray strangely intriguing moments when perspective is distorted. Through his work, Feldstein challenges his viewers to make sense of what we see. The tiny headed figures with exaggerated features do all kinds of everyday things like point, climb ropes, and reach for things.

Real Dandelions Surround LED Lights in Unique Chandeliers

Studio Drift is a company that brings together nature and technology in unique and unexpected ways. Their works encourage people to notice the little things we often take for granted or just happen to forget about. Fragile Future is a series of specially commissioned chandeliers that are made up of bronze, LED lights and actual dandelions. Real dandelion heads are arranged within a bronze structure that resembles a circuit board.
