Sculptures Popping Out of Paintings

Oh, to have been in Tokyo in June! Shintaro Ohata just finished up a solo exhibition at the Yukari Art Contemprary in Tokyo, Japan. This Hiroshima, Japan-born artist is known for his ability to show us everyday life in a cinematic way. He captures light in his paintings, showering the world, as we know it, with carefully placed strokes of it.

Riveting Story Behind that Striking Sculpture

Though Paige Bradley has a few “trademark” sculptures, the Internet came and fell in love with one particular one that's causing people from all over the world to see her art for the very first time. Moving Shadow Art

On the front of a model train running around a darkened room is a small, lit-up LED light. As the train moves slowly along its route, small and large objects are projected onto the walls and ceiling. Due to the movement of the light source, the shadows of the stationary objects appear to move, leaving viewers with the impression that they are passengers riding on the train (watch video, below).
