Celebrity Portraits Made from Thousands of Circles (6 pieces)

Though Ben Heine is well-known for his very clever series Pencil Vs Camera, many might not know about his Digital Circlism set. Heine's created a new technique whereby digital circles are selectively placed onto a black background. Using a sharp round brush in Photoshop CS4, he makes these circles of different sizes and colors until they magically form a familiar face.

Mind-Boggling Water Drop Reflections (13 photos)

As a “fairly keen” gardener, Brian Valentine always had an interest in finding out what was going on in his backyard. Taken to early retirement, he bought a DSLR and a macro lens with the intention of pursuing macro photography as his full-time hobby. (For those of you who are not familiar with macro photography, it's close-up photography of very small subjects and it typically requires using a macro lens.)

Watch as a green shoelace turns into a Loch Ness-style monster, a half eaten chicken bone is utilized as a convenient bench and a red Lego brick becomes a rebel's rock.
