Giant Rainbow Honeycomb Mural Takes Over a Building in Halle, Germany

Last fall, street artist Marina Zumi took on her largest project to date, a massive 800 square meters (or 8,611 square feet) mural of a rainbow honeycomb. Covering a large building in Halle, Germany, the piece, called Honeycomb of Life, was created as part of the All You Can Paint Festival. It took the artist 12 days to complete this lively work that features mini landscapes and bees layered within.

Stunning Portral Street Art Illusions by 1010

Since 2009, German street artist 1010 has been creating these mysterious, portal-like street art illusions on walls around the world. While at first glance it looks like he's layering colored paper, upon closer inspection you realize that you're actually looking at paint on a wall. It's a different type of street art than we're used to.

Eco-Chalk Graffiti Revealed for Beakerhead 2014

To get you excited for Beakerhead, the annual art meets science meets engineering event, the City of Calgary worked with artist Michael Mateyko and Hans Thiessen, also known as Komboh, in creating “green graffiti” on two busy downtown underpasses. The eco-chalk graffiti art is a “ramp-up” to the September citywide happening that brings out tens of thousands of people to celebrate creativity at the crossroads of art, science and engineering.
