Artist Reimagines Classic Disney Characters as Tim Burton Style Illustrations

We’ve seen iconic Disney characters reimagined in countless creative ways, from real life princesses to empowered career women. However, Russian artist and animator Andrew Tarusov takes a slightly more ominous approach by visualizing the answer to a simple question: “What if Tim Burton directed all [of] Disney's classic movies?” Giving each illustration a Burtonesque twist, Tarusov turns lovable fairytale characters into haunting, corpse-like versions of their former selves.

Italian artist Cristoforo Scorpiniti, better known as Crisco Art, is back with more glow-in-the-dark paintings that reveal surprises when the lights go out. Creative Dad Brings His Kids’ Drawings to Life as Anatomically Incorrect Animals

In the past, we’ve seen many creatives bring funny kids’ drawings to life in the form of cuddly toys, wearable art, and even whimsical inventions. Another artist to do so is father-of-two Tom Curtis, who creates hilarious—and slightly disturbing—“real” renditions of his kids’ (8-year-old Dom and 6-year-old Al) drawings in an ongoing Instagram series called Things I have drawn.
