5,000 Books Pour Out of a Building in Spain

Artist Alicia Martin's tornado of books shoot out a window like a burst of water from a giant hose. The Spain-based artist's sculptural installation at Casa de America, Madrid depicts a cavalcade of books streaming out of the side of a building. The whirlwind of literature defies gravity and draws attention with its grandeur size.

Singing Ceramic Vases

Poland-based Diploo Studio just reached out to us to share their fun ceramic works. Personally, I'd love to grab a set of their handmade vases, called Singing Brownies, for my desk. Imagine being greeted every day by a bunch of these hilarious leaf or flower headed friends. Of course, this begs the question – what song would they be singing?

Spectacular Vintage Car Bookshelf

At My Modern Met, we love creative designs that rework the functionality of objects. Dutch design studio Denieuwegeneratie thought to convert a car into a tall bookshelf for the interior of their newly-built Dutch Mountain underground villa. By removing its engine, cutting out a large rectangular window in the roof, and placing the vintage Jaguar upright, the once active vehicle is transformed into an intriguingly attractive storage unit and shelving space.
