New York City’s Central Park Covered in Snow

It has been a particularly cold winter so far in New York. The massive snow storms and frigid temperatures have sent most people indoors to seek warmth under fuzzy blankets with hot chocolate in hand. However, in response to the cold, photographer Dina Litovsky decided to venture outside to document the unusually deserted landscapes throughout Central Park.

Spectacular Day and Night Composite Shots of Major Cities

Day to Night is a spectacular ongoing series by fine art photographer Stephen Wilkes featuring urban landscapes that transcend the confines of time by presenting day and night shots of iconic cityscapes in one image. Using up to 1,500 images from a 15-hour shoot day (from sunrise to sunset), Wilkes takes about a month to edit his shots into one composite image that reveals the gradience of time.

Stunning Photos of Modern Architecture by Joel Tjintjelaar

Dutch photographer Joel Tjintjelaar transforms urban architecture into breathtaking abstract works of art. Rather than capturing a traditional image of the Empire State Building, revealing its extraordinary height, Tjintjelaar takes creative liberties to mask the imposing extent of its towering stature and opts to play with the light bouncing off the building's textured facade. The edifice is now defunct of its vertical triumphs and instead a radiating horizontal extension of lines and boxes.
