Artist Matches Pantone Swatches to Everyday Life

Recently on Instagram, photographer Paul Octavious has taken to matching Pantone swatches to the world around him in an ongoing series simply titled The Pantone Project. Drawing on the basic color matching system used in the printing industry, Octavious matches snippets of his everyday life to the solid blocks of color that have fun names like Sunshine (yellow), Candy Pink, and Pirate Black.

Patrick Thorendahl, better known as PeejeT, has amassed an impressive collection of photos with celebrities, except none of them are real. The clever photo manipulator has created a hilarious collection of Photoshopped images featuring himself hanging out with numerous celebrities. From Kanye West and Jay-Z to Halle Berry and Amanda Bynes, Peejet is right beside his “friends” on his Instagram.

Photographer Overlays Photos, Creates a Window to the Past

Hungarian artist and photographer Kernyi Zoltn compares images from the past to the present in his series titled Ablak a Mltra, translated as Window to the Past. The photographer takes images from Fortepan, a site with an online collection of amateur photos from 1900 through the 1990's, and overlays it onto his own images at the same location.The black and white images from the past explore both the differences and similarities over time.
