Finding Symmetry in the Most Unsymmetrical Forms

In Mirrors, photographer Traci Griffin finds symmetry in the most unsymmetrical forms. Focusing specifically on tree branches and hair, Griffin captures the many offshoots and divisions that naturally occur as long hair cascades down or a tree trunk expands and grows. The artist then divides the photograph in half and reflects it upon itself, giving the impression that each object is a perfectly aligned and mirrored reflection of itself.

Teen Photographer Whisks Us Away Into a Surreal Dream

Georgia-based photographer Taylor Marie McCormick, aka lalasiy, captures and manipulates images to reflect a surreal world one would find themselves entering just as they're falling asleep. Equipped with her Nikon D800, the 19-year-old manages to creatively visualize an alternate universe where jellyfish rain down from the skies and tiny mermaids frolic in mason jars filled with water.

A Peek Inside the World’s Largest Cave

Located in the Quang Binh province in Vietnam, the Son Doong Cave is the world's largest cave. The biggest section of the cave is more than 650 feet wide, almost 500 feet high, and approximately 5.5 miles long. According to the website, parts of the space are so massive that there are caverns big enough to fit an entire city street inside them.
