The site–a word mash of Detroit and Urbex, meaning urban exploration–features countless photographs ranging from the days of the old, thriving metropolis to a more modern-day, rundown city.

Surreal Plants Emerge as Extensions of the Human Arm

Canadian photographer Joel Robinson has enchanted us in the past with his surreal imagery involving books and teacups wrapped in fairy tale themes. While we're most used to the imaginative photographer working with homely materials, Robinson also has a recurring appearance of hands in his body of work. In fact, hands are so frequently featured in his images that it has caused him to separate his work into a series titled Put Your Hands Up.

Magical Miniature Clouds by Sarah Ann Wright

London-based photographer Sarah Ann Wright says she shoots “fun and dreams.” Though she's skilled at capturing everything from landscapes to portraits, it's her quirky conceptual photos of clouds that caught our attention. The miniature white masses seem to magically float over a glass cup and a pair of hands as they send down showers and snow.

Polaroid’s New Digital Camera Makes Instant Picture Stickers

Our friends over at Photojojo just sent us one of the latest digital cameras to come out of Polaroid. The small, compact camera called the Polaroid Z2300 takes 10-megapixel images and delivers instant prints with a touch of a button. It lets you view your photos before you print them, which is key to saving you paper.
