Photographer Jill Greenberg, who, in the past, has shown us the funny, emotive facial expressions of wild animals and the tear-stained faces of babies in a moment of utter anguish, manages to capture the equally animated faces of a number of comedy moguls posing for the camera. Whether it's a simple face-forward portrait or a wacky situational setup, each comedic actor and personality shines his or her brand of funny through the lens.

Dramatically Mysterious Smoky Portraits

Italian artist Federico Bebber creates these stunning dark and moody female portraits through a creative digital manipulation process. The surreal scenes are filled with a dramatic passion, which is emphasized by the neutral black and white tones swirling together in clouds of misty smoke. Bebber says, “Viewers will stop to listen, as if waiting for some noise, without knowing whether it will be music, words or screaming.

Whisked Away in an Immaculate Dream

In this series titled Immaculate Dream, photographer Nicoline Patricia Malina whisks us away to another world with gorgeous shots that almost look as though they were taken in infrared. The monochrome light blue color works perfectly within the scenes, making the beautiful model really stand out in the seemingly chilly background. Malina was born in Surabaya, Indonesia and studied Fine Art in Utrecht, Netherlands.

Beautiful Scanner Bed Self-Portraits

Recently, we saw this fashion photo shoot involving experimental photography with a model and a scanner. The results of that creative process were stunning, so I was excited to come across photographer Whitney Justesen, who also skillfully operates a scanner to tell creative stories with her photographs. Justesen's self-portraits portray a young girl experiencing a variety of emotions.
