These Are the Best Photos of Education Around the World in 2019

Photographers from around the world celebrated education and learning by submitting their best images to the #Education2019 Photo Contest. Run by Agora, a free-to-use photo app, the contest has narrowed the field to its top 50 finalists, as voted on by the Agora community. Nearly 20,000 photographs were submitted to the contest, making for stiff competition. Collectively, the photos demonstrate that learning has no boundaries.

Amazing Winners of the 2019 Bird Photographer of the Year Contest

Now in its fourth year, the Bird Photographer of the Year (BPOTY) contest continues to showcase the best avian photography from around the world. The 2019 photo competition saw over 13,500 images submitted from 63 different countries. The expert panel of judges, led by naturalist and TV presenter Chris Packham, had the difficult task of selecting one overall winner, as well as six category winners and two special award recipients.

The Underwater Photographer of the Year was just announced for 2019, and the winning images offer an enchanting breadth of what’s beyond the shoreline. For the fourth year in a row, the photo competition has represented different aspects of the ocean through a variety of categories. Winners were chosen in 14 fields including Wide Angle, Macro, Behavior, and Portrait. Each winning image showcases a different aspect of the underwater world.

Now in its ninth year, the contest features the best in elongated photographs capturing the majestic beauty of the world at large. The 2018 contest received nearly 5,000 entries from 1,251 photographers in 74 countries, which undoubtedly made for stiff competition and hard decisions from the panel of judges.
