Street artist Kapo created this fierce looking shark on a subway entrance in Madrid, Spain. Love how the 3D effect makes it look like the beast is coming out of water. Edit: The subway entrance is some sort of ventilation and the artist is e1000ink.

A Dashing Leonardo DiCaprio – Esquire March ’10 (5 pics)

What is it about Leonardo DiCaprio that makes thirty-something year old women scream in delight? Yes, we probably imagine a scruffy Jack Dawson getting all cleaned up in a nice tux, waiting for us at the bottom of a staircase. Modern Architecture: Periscope House (13 pics)

London-based Marks Barfield Architects have designed a house where sections can be elevated like a periscope at the touch of a button. Called Villa Hush Hush, the building would be divided into four rectangular zones, two of which could be elevated. A mechanism would push the support columns out of the ground, elevating parts of the building by up to 131 feet (40 meters).

Modern Architecture – The Ecorium Project (4 pics)

The National Ecological Institute of South Korea recently released plans for a large-scale nature reserve. Designed by architectural firm SAMOO, the “Ecorium Project” will be a striking environmental center spread out over a 33,000 square meter area of natural environment. Featuring eco domes, greenhouses, a water reserve, and an education center, the Ecorium Project will serve to educate people about the world's natural eco-systems, and how to best protect them.
