Modern Architecture – Flying Colors of Dubai (4 pics)

Designed by Canadian architect Hongbo Lu, The “Flying Colors of Dubai” was the third place entry in the Zaabeel Park Tall Emblem Structure Competition. Hundreds of colorful flakes positioned around a curved elevator rise to a height of 525 feet (160m). The flakes act like little individual solar panels that not only provide shading, but also have the capability to generate electricity.
