Laser-Cut Pop-Up Cards Beautifully Depict Landmarks of Tokyo

Tokyo is known for many things, including its fashion, food, and cultural landmarks. The latter inspired Czech-based designer Tereza Hradilkova to portray the city using a traditional Japanese medium – paper. She worked with Tokyo-based creative producer Kumi Kobayashi on a series of pop-up cards that depict different landmarks, both well-known locales and others that are less so.

Tiny Hawaiian Cabin Feels Roomy with Just 200 Sq. Feet of Space

Who says that small spaces can't feel large? Artist and woodworker Jay Nelson recently completed a 200 square foot wood cabin that looks anything but tiny. It's located on the Hawaiian island of Kauai and was built in less than two months from 25,000 pounds of salvaged redwood. Now, Nelson has a space that's perfect for hosting small gatherings or escaping on a tranquil getaway, all while surrounded by an idyllic tropical landscape.

MMM Interview: Manjari Sharma’s Beautifully Intimate Portraits Taken in the Shower

Instead of using a traditional studio, Mumbai-born photographer Manjari Sharma found a more intimate setting to shoot portraits of friends, acquaintances, and strangers: the shower in her Brooklyn apartment. Although Sharma's subjects are nude, there's nothing racy about the images in the Shower Series. Instead, each person is portrayed with a tender sense of sensuality and closeness, beautiful in the moody lighting of the bathroom.

Tiny People Cutout of Paper Star in Delightfully Amusing Tales

Miami-based filmmaker Jorge Miranda works with miniature paper dolls to create whimsical scenes that are captured on camera and shared on Instagram. Using tiny cut-outs of photographed people, he places them in amusing situations that have the appearance of black and white film stills. We see one man jumping onto a larger-than-life spoon that sends another bearded gentleman soaring into the sky.
