Clever Literary Coffee Poster

Food illustrator Gianluca Biscalchin has combined two of our loves – coffee and books – into one fun illustration. Called Literary Coffee, it shows famous authors like Bram Stroker, Jane Austen, and William Shakespeare as cups of hot java (or other drinks). While many of these you'll know right off the bat, some you may have to look up to really get the inside joke.

40-Foot Hand-Carved Sculpture Earns Guinness World Record

This huge wooden sculpture is an impressive display of the famous Chinese wood carver Zheng Chunhui's incredible hand-carving skills. Standing more than 40 feet long, almost 8 feet wide, and, at one point, 10 feet tall, the massive work of art was formed out of just one single log and was recently declared the world's longest wood sculpture by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Australia’s Infinite Stairway to Heaven

Diminish and Ascend is a sculptural installation by artist David McCracken that, from certain angles, looks like a never-ending staircase. Part of the annual event known as Sculpture by the Sea in Bondi, Australia, the staircase is one of the most eye-catching pieces at the outdoor exhibition this year that allows the mind to wander and imagine a surreal escape.
