Miniature People Living in an Unusually Whimsical World

In this series entitled Minimize, photographer William Kass produces an unusual viewpoint of life as experienced by miniature little people. He blends toy figures with a variety of regular sized props to create the illusion of great proportions within a very small space. Utilizing immense patience and precision, Kass composes each scene within the frame of his camera, obtaining the perfect perspective in order to capture the playfully whimsical narratives.

Complex Graffiti Machine Produces Vibrant Rainbows

In 2010, Swedish street artist Akay created Tool No. 10: Robo-Rainbow in an ongoing series of Instruments of Mass Destruction, which he further describes as “complicated technical solutions to aid in simple acts of vandalism.” Obviously, the words ‘mass destruction' are used lightly here, considering that the artist has no malicious intentions and ends up producing a bit of cheerful color on otherwise bare, deserted walls.

Incredible Paintings on Maps Unify Countries

Madrid-based Spanish artist Fernando Vicente uses maps for more than geographical purposes. For his Atlas series, the creative illustrator paints on old maps, transforming countries and whole continents into people, animals, and skulls. The collection of acrylic paint portraits applied and integrated into each map, similar to the work of Ed Fairburn, gives the lands a new sense of life.
