As part of Miniartextil, an annual exhibition of contemporary art, Dawe created Plexus no. 19, a stunning thread installation that's beautifully spread across two balconies in the atrium of a historic villa.

Two Gigantic Slow Slugs Made of 40,000 Bags

If you were in Angers, France in September you may have run straight into two enormous, colorful looking slugs made out of 40,000 plastic bags. The artist behind them is Florentijn Hofman, famous for his giant yellow duck, big yellow rabbit and enormous monkey made of flip flops. He strikes again, this time in France, where his message is a bit more serious.

Hyper-Realistic Sculpture of a Man Licking the Ground

Cang Xin is a Chinese performance artist who is well-known for his ongoing exploration project in which he chooses to experience life and locations in a variety of uncommon means such as bathing with lizards and, in this case, licking the ground we walk on with his tongue. As one of the most sensitive parts of the body, the tongue provides a method of experiencing things on a whole other level.
