Computer Parts World Map Symbolizes Digital Future

Susan Stockwell up-cycles with intense ingenuity. The parts the UK-based artist uses for each piece adds to the message she attempts to relay to the world. World is a giant world map made from recycled computer parts commissioned by the University of Bedfordshire. What began in 2010 is now completed with motherboards, electrical wiring, fans and other components donated by the people at Secure IT Recycling.

Eerily Emerging Cut Outs

Artist Miss Bugs has created some fascinating new cut out prints as part of her “Cut Out + Fade Out” series found in London. The images seem to eerily emerge from the environment they've been placed into and blend in well with the background, meeting up with specific lines and colors. When seen in the studio before their installation, the pieces look unfinished. It becomes clear that the environment drastically compliments these pieces.
