Urban Street Art: Os Gemeos and Blu Collaborate in Lisbon

There's a lot going on in this collaborative piece by artists Os Gemeos and Blu. If you look closely at the huge mural which covers two sides of a tall building, you'll notice that the man sucking the globe wears a crown adorned with oil company logos. The piece is timely considering what's going on in the Gulf of Mexico. Hopefully that dude with a human slingshot will take him out.

The Vader Project (10 Badass Helmets)

Even if you're not a big Star Wars fan, you have to admit, these Darth Vader helmets are beyond awesome. 100 of today's most notable artists were asked to customize a 1:1 scale authentic prop replica of the actual Darth Vader helmet featured in the Star Wars films. Alex Pardee, Gary Baseman, Ron English, and Jeff Soto were among the artists who participated.

Jung transformed crayon drawings filled with sweet and sometimes bizarre imagery into real life photographs. Without the help of any computer graphics, Wonderland takes us from fantasy to reality in one fell swoop.

Art Made from Real Human Bones (12 pieces)

Francois Robert spent hundreds of hours arranging the real bones of a single human skeleton into a series of striking iconic shapes, each five or six feet wide. He titled the beautiful yet eerily haunting series, ‘Stop the Violence.'” “In the mid-90's, during an auction from an old school, I purchased 3 metal lockers and to my surprise one of them held a real, full size articulated skeleton,” he says.
