Modern Architecture – An Angel’s Sleek Wings (6 pics)

Is it just me or do these buildings look like the sleek wings of a lightning-quick angel? Perkins+Will's Master Plan for SANY Beijing won first place in the “Conceptual Design” category at the 8th International Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism. The judging committee based their award selection on four central themes of the exhibition: spatiality, connectivity, originality and sustainability.

Mario’s Wardrobe Worries – Glen Brogan

What a fantastic new piece from artist Glen Brogan! Just what should Mario put on today? Guess it depends on his every-changing mood… Per Glen, “I wanted to include as many of his power-ups as possible, but the main rule I had to follow was that I couldn't include things that actually transform Mario himself rather that just changing his wardrobe, like the Boo mushroom from Mario Galaxy that turns him into a ghost.

Modern Architecture – The Floating Stage (7 pics)

Located on the Han River in Seoul, South Korea, the Floating Stage seems like the perfect place to enjoy an outdoor concert. Designed by Kyungam Architects Associates, the recently completed stage is equipped with LED lights used during laser and water fountain shows. The Floating Stage has a seating capacity of 2,200 people and is part of the Han River Renaissance Master Plan.
