Underwater Photographer Spends 20 Years Capturing Photos of Microscopic Plankton

Japanese underwater photographer Ryo Minemizu has dedicated his 20-year career to capturing some of the smallest organisms in the sea—plankton. Shooting primarily in the shadow of Mount Fuji in the Osezaki sea and off the Okinawa coast, Minemizu goes deep underwater to discover the beauty and diversity of these microscopic creatures. His dedication sees him spending two to eight hours underwater every day, where he sets about photographing these tiny organisms.

Shocking Aerial Photos Highlight Wealth Inequality in Cities Worldwide

When we first brought you Johnny Miller's Unequal Scenes, the photographer was using aerial photography to highlight wealth disparity in South Africa. Now, he's branched out to countries around the globe, using a drone to call attention to the income differential that often sees new tennis courts adjacent to abandoned lots. Since 2016, Miller has captured around 100 photographs in South Africa, India, Tanzania, the United States, and Kenya.

Beautiful New Photos of Zaha Hadid’s Galaxy SOHO in Beijing

One of Zaha Hadid's most iconic buildings, the Galaxy SOHO in Beijing shows all the curves and harmony that the legendary architect was known for. Completed in 2012 and formed from four interconnected egg-shaped structures, it's a study in organic forms. Photographer Andres Gallardo, known for his architectural photography, made a point to document the building while on a recent trip to Beijing.
