If you’re thinking of getting inked but can’t decide on a design, temporary tattoos are a great way to test out your options. From floral watercolors to delicate leaves, we’ve seen many talented artists transform their sketches into beautiful body art. One artist to do so is Manila-based illustrator Kerby Rosanes, who recently released his Geometric Beasts series as a collection of wash-on-wash-off tattoos.
Unlike bold and garish temporary tattoos you might remember from your childhood, each of Rosanes’ designs feature intricate lines, shading, and subtle dot work, resulting in the illusion of a real tattoo, fit for grown-ups. Rosanes’ charming illustrations feature animals bursting free from their glass-like geometric casings, each rendered by hand in black ink before being transferred to special decal paper for application onto skin.
The temporary tattoos collection includes 25 geometric animal designs, including a lion, tiger, whale, koi, eagle, fox, swan, polar bear, and hummingbird. And when you’re ready to wash them off or try a new design, you can simply remove the tattoo by rubbing cold cream or baby oil onto your skin.
You can purchase Rosanes’ tattoo collection as an entire set, a pack of five, or a single design via his website. Check out more from the artist’s portfolio on Instagram.
