First Photos of Blue Ivy Carter Debut Online

In what’s been called a “classy way to go” by The Washington Post, Beyonce and Jay-Z released the very first pictures of their new baby girl Blue Ivy, not by selling them to the highest bidder but by quietly putting them up on a Tumblr blog called Hello Blue Ivy Carter and on Jay-Z’s own blog called Life + Times under the headline Glory. Yes, the little bundle of joy, who is now 1-month-old, is shown cradled in her smiling mother’s arms as well as being held close by her proud father.

The photos came with this simply sweet message. “We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter family.”
