The wait is finally over! As fans of Haroshi's recycled skateboard deck art, we've been waiting with bated breath to see more of his incredible pieces which are now currently on display at the Jonathan Levine Gallery. Although some were previously shown in Tokyo, and the SB Dunk sneakers were a NIKE commission, the rest are new, made specifically for this exhibition. Inspired by the city of New York, the colorful sculptures take the shape of everything from a bitten apple and tattooed teddy bear to a plump pigeon and wrapped “paper” bottle. (I want them all!)
If you're in New York, make sure to drop by the Jonathan Levine Gallery to see Haroshi's Future Primitive show in person. He'll be exhibiting there from now through May 14, 2011.
