Buying Original Banksy Art Online through Barnebys

This post is sponsored by Barnebys. All auctions in one place.

About two years ago, Banksy had a month-long residency in New York City. During this trip to the energetic city, the mysterious graffiti artist decided to sell his work on the streets by Central Park. Unbeknownst to passersby, they were authentic artworks by the real Banksy, being sold as ambiguous “Spray Art” for a mere $60.

After a full day of work, the unnamed man who sold Banksy's work was able to sell 8 pieces of art that rounded out to a grand total of $420. The few buyers who managed to snag a piece of this seemingly ordinary street art had unintentionally purchased original Banksy's worth tens of thousands of dollars (per piece) in real market value.

This was a one-time deal, Banksy announced soon after revealing his experiment. Though many missed out on owning their own Banksy off the streets of New York, there are still pieces available to purchase through Barnebys–one of the largest search engines for art, collectibles, and antiques. We found ongoing auctions of Banksy's work from several auction houses. Scroll down for some of Banksy's art auctions found on Barnebys.
